John George, who taught at St. Joseph’s School in Harbour Breton from 1972 to 2003, was recently inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association’s Hall of Fame. George was inducted into the NLVA Hall of Fame in the Builder category for his demonstrated outstanding service to volleyball and his demonstrated leadership in the volleyball community. His good buddy, Churence Rogers, presented Mr. George with his induction plaque at a ceremony held at Grand Falls-Windsor on June 9.
