Letters to the editor -
Dear Family and Friends of Hermitage Bay,
On behalf of the Osmond Family, I want to express my sincere gratitude for the thoughtfulness you gave us during our brief visit. The residents of Hermitage opened their hearts and doors to strangers to accommodate the large circle of family and friends who were in town for the funeral of their friend and niece Tara Osmond.
The overwhelming response was incredible. We all had a place to rest; wonderful stories of the love and life of Tara were shared, food was prepared and delivered to every family and friend of Tara's. Complete strangers would hug you and give you their condolences. We have never seen such hospitability from such a small town. New friendships have been created. The flowers, cards, food and the wonderful music, truly brighten our lives and only go to show what a wonderful and friendly town of Hermitage you all have. Cherish every moment.
I know Tara would appreciate your kind gestures; I know you all meant a great deal to her. Many of you expressed such beautiful sentiments that I have no trouble seeing why Tara enjoyed being surrounded by people like you who were a large part of why Tara loved to come home on her vacations
Thank you all so much for your kind words, your generous gifts, and most of all, for your friendship with Tara. Knowing you will miss her too makes our burden a bit easier to bear.
Sincere Regards,
The Osmond Family of Leonard & Sharon,
Phyllis(Lew), Malcolm(Rita), Mike(Eileen),Wanda(Junior), Audrey(Ross), Stan(Darlene) all of NL and Ken(Peggy) Carol(Dennis) of Ontario
