Patrick Williams, the on-site supervisor for the construction of the aquaculture in-flow wharf at Harbour Breton said that work is proceeding on the project pretty well on schedule.

Melville Trucking of Goose Bay, Labrador, is carrying out the project of the provincial Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture.

Williams said that wharf will basically consist of twelve 30-foot cribs when completed.

As of Wednesday, July 25 one of the cribs had already been set in place and dredging was underway for the location of the second structure.

The wharf is located on Thompson Beach close to the location of the lighthouse in that area of the community.
