Three injured in accident in Conne River

Three teenagers were injured — two of them seriously — following a single-vehicle accident on the main road in Conne River about 5:49 a.m. on May 3..

Bay d'Espoir RCMP responded to the accident along with ambulance and the local fire department.

The extensively damaged vehicle was located in the ditch on its side.

The 17-year-old driver, along with two passengers aged 16 and 18, were transported to the St. Alban's clinic. The driver was released with minor injuries, while the passengers were transported to the James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander and are listed with serious to critical injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and traffic services collision analyst is examining the scene.
