Miranda Maddox-Bussey, the Town of Harbour Breton's Economic Development officer, held an information session with a number of disabled, or differently abled, persons from Harbour Breton and the Coast of Bays on February 23.

This is just my opinion
I am guessing everyone has heard about the two teachers from Manitoba. If not then let me fill you in ... these two teachers were caught, well they didn't really need to be caught as they purposely and carelessly dirty danced (which was described by the students and also seen in the video posted all over online, looked like a lap dance) in front of about 100 students during a rally for grades 9 to 12.
The teachers' routine was very provocative and inappropriate. So, anyway, now these two teachers are looking at the possibility of losing their jobs because of it. (more)

Up in the bottom of Facheux Bay
Clyde Feaver and two of his sons took me up in the bottom of Facheux Bay the other day.
Did you catch that? I said 'up in the bottom,' because I like the contradictions in the Newfoundland dialect. And I love the way they corrupt the French names along the southern shore - like pronouncing Facheux as 'Fooshee'.
Early on in our journey, we spotted a caribou.
Well... Clyde, John and Junior spotted a caribou - I'm still looking for it. It was remarkable how all three men saw it at the same time, picking it out of a vast landscape that was mostly barren land, but partly boreal forest. It was grazing on the side of a hill several hundred feet above sea level, but the Feavers saw it right away. Then they all started yelling with excitement and pointing in the caribou's general direction in hope that I too might be able to see it. (more)
